Can anyone recommend an HTML generator for clients to set up their own E-Newletters?

Submitted by ASchick on Mon, 2007-03-19 09:19.

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a (preferably free) HTML generator for a client that is not versed in HTML or CSS to use in setting up their E-Newsletters? Ideally it should be something like Dreamweaver, where they open a template we create for them (keeping the same in line styles that we have set) and paste the text in.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! :-)

"HTML Body of Header"

Submitted by Margaux on Thu, 2007-03-01 12:44.

Hi,

I'm working on our first e-mail newsletter too. My problem is that at the beginning of the HTML message, I have the text "HTML Body of Header", and at the end "HTML Body of Footer" appearing.

See attached .jpg for a screen shot of the message I receive.

I see that in step 3 of 5 ("upload message") there are options for "Mailing Header" and "Mailing Footer", but I don't seem to be able to select anything from those drop-down boxes other than the defaults: "Mailing Header" and "Mailing Footer". Presumably if I could customize these then I'd be able to get rid of the extraneous tags? If so, how should I customize them? And if not, how can I get rid of the heading and footer?

CSOD Newsletter Archive?

Submitted by Margaux on Tue, 2007-03-20 19:27.

Is there a way to create an automated newsletter archive with CSOD? I'm envisioning something where once we send an email newsletter, it automatically adds itself to an archive. Then the Web site user can read the current issue or any back issues online as needed.

Thanks!
Margaux

Changing the scheduled time of a mass mailing

Submitted by ASchick on Mon, 2007-03-19 08:46.

Once a mass mailing is set up witha future send date and time, is there a way to go back into it and change the send time or any of the settings? I don't seem to be able to edit the "scheduled" status in the list of mailings.

Canceling a mailing creates an error

Submitted by Margaux on Fri, 2007-03-16 04:34.

Whenever I cancel a mailing at Step 4 (after the test mailing, but before sending to the whole group) it creates an error.

The URL is /civicrm/mailing/send

And in the log I see the attached error message.

Change Default Mail Format in CSOD?

Submitted by Margaux on Fri, 2007-03-09 12:53.

Is there a way to change the default mail format? It appears to be set to "both" and I would like it to be "HTML". I have found on the CiviCRM forum that this can be done by accessing the SQL database directly, but is there a way to do it with CivicSpace On Demand when we don't have database access?

Thanks!
