Making some pages accessible only to authenticated users

Submitted by Margaux on Tue, 2007-04-03 12:45.

Hello,

Is there any way in CSOD to set the access control so that some pages are only viewable by authenticated users?

I know there are some Drupal modules, like simpleaccess and taxonomyaccess, but it doesn't look like there's any way to do this in CSOD.

I also thought you used to be able to set permissions in the Access Control to allow viewing certain content types, which while not ideal would be a solution.

Thanks for any suggestions,

Is there a way to manually set the "member for" data for users?

Submitted by ASchick on Fri, 2007-03-16 17:01.

Under Manage > Administer Web site > Users, is there a way to manually set the "member for" data so that it mirrors the length of the users membership to the organization rather than the length of time they've had a user account on CivicSpace?

Unexpected update

Submitted by Town in Common on Sat, 2007-03-10 19:53.

The following showed up on my Administer CiviCRM page. The link provided took me to  http://www.openngo.org/ - a parking site for advertising.

A newer version of CiviCRM is available: 1.6.8703 (this site is currently running 1.5.7470).
Read about the new version on our website and download it here.

I'm guessing this isn't how CSOD is updated. Does it indicate a security concern for clients?

Cannot post new event on one specific date (5/1/2007)??

Submitted by ASchick on Mon, 2007-03-19 12:01.

I am entering events into the calendar and there is one date on the calendar (5/1) that does not show the two events entered for that day. The May 1st block on the calendar won't show the events, but all of the other dates are working fine. The events show in the table/list view of the calendar, but just not in the monthly view. Could anyone give some clues as to why this might be happening? I entered these events the exact same way as the others.

Importing data into CivicSpace On Demand

Submitted by Margaux on Wed, 2007-02-28 13:35.

Hi,

I will need to import a lot of contacts (1,000 +) into my client's CiviCRM database that we're setting up on CSOD. It will have a number of custom fields, spanning a few custom data groups. My question is how to do this in CSOD? I can find information about doing it with custom installations of CivicSpace and Drupal, but I don't think I have access to the proper modules?

Also, can you give me any guidance as far as how to arrange my fields in the CSV/Excel file so that they line up properly with the fields in CiviCRM, especially given that I'll have custom fields spanning several custom data groups?
